Harley motorcycle police, as the 1951 Harley-Davidson Police Special not only provided with a wide assortment of material specific to their functions, but are often available in colors that are not available on civilians bikes. Before the war, they were generally painted blue police, but many models of post-war came to the police Silver. Restoration of a police motorcycle is more difficult because of the added equipment, which itself must be restored as reproductions are difficult to find. The left "saddlebag" is actually a transceiver; brass fire extinguisher is on the right. Not all police bicycles were dressed in a bright uniform. Many were almost devoid of chrome plate, fork have legs, wheels, primary cases and painted black. Harley the first motorcycle police was put into service by the city of Detroit, Michigan in 1908
