The 1912 Harley-Davidson motorcycle X8A was much more advanced than a model Harley-Davidson of the first motorcycle, built in 1903. It was a little over a bicycle with a single three-cylinder engine is mounted in the frame tubes.
Although the V-twins who make the company famous published six years later, a single cylinder machines continued to represent the bulk of sales of Harley. In 1912, public demand for more power has been answered by X8A, which was powered by a 30-cubic-inch single production by 4.3 horsepower.
